Dunnage
Material used to fill voids and stop load movement in transit.
Anything placed in a load to keep it from shifting: inflatable bags between pallets, board, foam, air pillows, blocking and bracing. Good dunnage is often cheaper than the damage it prevents, and reducing void space usually reduces the dunnage needed in the first place.
